Today we are going to travel to Piazza Armerina in Sicily.
Piazza Armerina (Sicilian: Ciazza) is famous for housing the largest collection of Roman mosaics in the world. The town is thought to have been established during the Norman rule in the 11th century, but evidence shows that the town existed in even Roman times. Its large collection of mosaics are found in the beautiful Villa Romana Del Casale. Below is a panorama of Piazza Armerina.
